How to Use Crying Baby Detector In Galaxy S5

Samsung Galaxy S5 currently holds the position as Samsung’s flagship smartphone. As expected, it offers plethora of features which are suitable for all kind of users. Galaxy S5 has been highly criticized for its design yet it manages to wow its users with the number of features that it has to offer. Galaxy S5 is a powerhouse and it is very suitable for high-end gaming, Ultra HD Video shooting, chatting and calling for countless hours, as a health assistance and as a security device. Samsung has tried to include every possible feature in this phone. There is a feature in Galaxy S5 that has been hidden for some unknown reason and Samsung did not actually mention is on the launch event. The feature is the built-in Crying Baby detector.

Samsung’s Touchwiz is notorious for cluttered UI and options hidden deep inside the Settings app. You will find a new feature every 4 or 5 days and it can be a good thing. The latest discovered feature of Galaxy S5 is the Crying Baby Detector. It is hidden deep inside the Accessibility settings. The Baby Detector acts as a baby monitor and it can help you take care of your toddler. Children cannot convey anything without crying. Usually mothers are busy somewhere in kitchen or else where while baby is left alone in the bedroom. If mother is far away, mother might not listen to baby crying. Dedicated baby monitors are available as well but Galaxy S5 is ready to play that part as well.

To use Crying Baby Detector in Galaxy S5, Galaxy Gear is required. Galaxy S5 will send signals to the Galaxy Gear on your wrist to inform you about your baby. The gear will vibrate to notify the mother. The mobile has to be placed with 1 metre of the baby so that it can easily hear the sounds of baby. Also, the room should be quiet since sounds of other objects like fan, TV might make the phone’s functionality useless. When you open the app, Samsung has a big disclaimer for your which states that one should not rely too much on this feature. It cannot be used as a permanent substitute to adult care. So use it will extreme caution and care.

To use Crying Baby Detector in S5, open Settings App and open Device Tab. Under the personalization heading, you will find Accessibility Settings. Open these settings and select Hearing. At the bottom of screen, the Crying Baby Detector tab is located. Open it, set up everything and you’re good to go. Here are the screenshots for better understanding.









Once you have set up all the settings, then you can use this application. However, we advise you not to rely on this app too much. There is not substitute for adult care since an application might not function properly sometimes, due to various reasons.
