A basic App to Backup and Restore SMS Messages. This is a Paid No-Ads variation of the Ad-Supported Free App.
KEEP IN MIND:
The backup is created in your area on the phone by default unless you configure it to submit to E-mail, Google Drive or Dropbox. You are accountable for backup files and the files are not sent out to the developer in any case.
On Android 4.4+ devices, if you have actually carried out the Restore and the messages do not appear in Hangouts then:
- Open Hangouts and Disable SMS from Settings.
- Exit the Hangouts app
- Open Hangouts and Enable SMS from Settings.
APP FEATURES:

- Choose a scheduled time to instantly backup.

Kindly note that MMS (Picture/Audio/Video messages) support is presently in BETA.
On newer phones with integrated storage the default backup place will most likely be the internal storage card and not the external.
This is since the phone reports the storage that method.
If you plan to do a factory reset on the phone, happy see to it you save/email a copy of the backup outside the phone before doing it.
Kindly begin the app at least as soon as after updates so that the set up backups start working.
This App requires access to the following:
